Full service Microsoft Dynamics AX provider, Sycor, has selected Lasernet – an enterprise output management solution from Formpipe – to help its customers save time, reduce costs and create uniformed, professional documents with ease, speed and precision.
In addition to simplifying business document design, Lasernet facilitates the transfer of labour and paper-intensive processes over to electronic document management in ERP systems. The Lasernet connector has already been used to facilitate upgrades to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics AX, released earlier this year, for a number of global businesses. This is thanks in part to Formpipe Lasernet’s membership of Microsoft’s Technology Adoption Program (TAP), which enables Formpipe to preview new updates prior to official release and collaborate with Microsoft in the development of relevant solutions.
Selecting Formpipe Lasernet was simple for Sycor thanks to Lasernet’s proven 20 year track record for delivering unrivalled integration with all major ERP applications, as Marco Arndt – Sycor’s partner management co-ordinator for the Dynamics AX solution explains: “The Formpipe Lasernet output management solution has been thoroughly tested and proven, and we think it will be extremely beneficial as an enhancement to our projects involving Microsoft Dynamics AX. We’re already working with Formpipe on customer projects and are delighted that we’ve been able to further intensify our partnership by signing a partnership agreement.”
Echoing the sentiments expressed by Marco, Formpipe Lasernet’s commercial director, Mike Rogers said: “Sycor is amongst the most well respected names there is in the Microsoft Dynamics AX arena. Businesses across the globe trust Sycor with their ERP projects because they recognise the vast knowledge and expertise working with a solutions provider like Sycor offers. To have been selected by Sycor to be the company’s output partner for AX projects is validation of Lasernet’s genuine ability to make all document related processes simpler, cheaper and better for end users.”

Adacta has teamed up with Ferranti Computer Systems and Formpipe to deliver increased efficiency and process effectiveness to one of the continent’s largest utility companies. The leading Central-European reseller has installed the MECOMS™ and CRM platforms, complete with Lasernet advanced output management software, to one of its major customers in the utilities sector in a little over ten weeks, with the new technology already providing time and cost savings across the board.
MECOMS™ Customer Care & Billing is developed by Ferranti Computer Systems to enable utilities providers of any size to streamline business processes and combine high efficiency with first-class customer service. In order to enhance the usability and lower the cost of additional functionality, Ferranti Computer Systems recently made Formpipe Lasernet a standard module for new installations, to enable customers to quickly create, modify and personalise branded documentation through simple drag-and-drop functionality.
Ales Zajc, Procurator at Adacta comments: “The most satisfying aspect of the project was our ability to have direct, almost complete integration straight out of the box. Although some configuration is still needed, the very user friendly, intuitive and highly graphic interface enables customers to do much of the fine tuning themselves, saving Adacta time on site, and lowering expenditure for the customer.
“At the end of the shortened installation process our client is left with a solution that is much richer in its functionality than the previous system, and at a reduced cost. It’s a win, win, win, win for the customer, Adacta, Ferranti Computer Systems and Formpipe Lasernet.”
Enterprise input/output management firm welcomed onto French ERP user group
Formpipe Lasernet has this week become a member of ERP user group, Club des Utilisateurs Baan & LN. The French group is an active user community dedicated to peer support, bench-marking and the adoption of ERP best practice in the manufacturing sector.
The enterprise output management firm is renowned for its strong integration capabilities with all ERP systems, most notably the latest version of Dynamics AX, but its connector for the Baan system has also been making waves in the French marketplace for all the right reasons, as Formpipe Lasernet director Mike Rogers explains: “We first introduced the Lasernet product to Club des Utilisateurs Baan & LN late last year and have been inundated with enquiries from member organisations keen to enhance their output management processes and performance ever since. We’re thrilled to have been invited to join the group, and are really looking forward to working with fellow members to help them cut costs, improve input and output efficiencies, and create clear, brand-rich documentation quickly and easily.”
Requiring no modification and installed locally at the customer site, Lasernet offers several key enhancements to the standard output management functionality of ERP systems and competitor input/output management solutions. Primarily, these include: the ability to preview documents in PDF format; a user friendly layout of the form engine; an easy distribution workflow and quick and simple incoming document management.
Having been introduced to the group in November 2015, Formpipe Lasernet has wasted little time adding value to its discussions, and is already delivering benefits to a number of its other member organisations, including GRUAU, VOSSLOH COGIFER and GROUPE ROSET. During the next user group conference, set to be held on June 15th, GRUAU will present its Baan to Infor 10 migration, which includes the latest release of the Lasernet connector (V4.3.5).
